Salt Lake City Utah Uprising Win 2026 WMLIS Championship

The Salt Lake City Utah Uprising won the 2026 Women’s Major League Indoor Soccer (WMLIS) Championship with an 10–4 victory over the reigning champions, Chicago Mustangs, on Sunday.

A newcomer to the league, Salt Lake City finished the regular season undefeated in the South Conference and advanced to the final after a 19–1 semifinal win over the Ft. Wayne Summit City Sentinels.

Chicago took an early 2–1 lead in the first quarter, but Salt Lake City responded in the second period with five goals to take control of the game.

Dominique Estrada and Hannah Rose Lee Flores led the scoring for Salt Lake City with multiple goals each, while Mckenzie Evans-Tostado contributed on both ends. Hannah Bruce and Chelsey Campbell Sanchez also added goals.

Chicago was led by Carol Fernanda Soto, who scored twice, but the team was unable to close the gap after the second quarter.

The win marks Salt Lake City’s first WMLIS title.
